There are so many features that I love about the BH51M but my favorite has to be the integrated sound system. The open-back JBL speakers mean that you can answer phone calls, listen to your navigation and music all without losing awareness of your surroundings and happenings on the road. If you’re anything like me then you’ll agree that there is nothing better than listening to your favourite tunes to help you on long rides.

Coming in as a close second favorite has got to be the automatic ON/OFF technology that Livall have integrated into this helmet. You simply turn it on once and then it automatically turns on and off as you put it on and take it off! I thought that this was a really nice bit of tech that just made this hamlet feel that bit more intuitive… and if you're anything like me, I always forget to turn my helmet lights on before i set off so this ensured that I could always be seen.

The lighting system consists of an LED front light and rear lights that can be brake warning lights and indicators. This ensures that you can be seen from all angles on the road, keeping you safe and seen. The indicators were easily controlled by Livall’s handlebar controller which also connects to your phone to allow you to pick up a call with one-click.

The BH51M also comes with innovative safety features. The fall detection system can detract when you may have had an accident and can send an SOS notification to the emergency contact that you set up in the app. This mobile phone/helmet connectivity can also work to keep your helmet from getting lost. As soon as the helmet is connected to your phone and they are separated by over 20meters then both items will release an audible alarm. Not only does this help you keep it from getting lost but it also acts as an anti-theft alarm. Pretty cool!

The helmet was also super comfortable to wear for fairly long periods of time, The magnetic claps also made it easy to secure without much fiddling which is good for when it's slightly colder.
