Jun 05, 2023Tim Fullbrook

Electric scooters are taking over the world in the best possible way, getting people out of cars, off busy trains and busses, and into a cheap, efficient, and speedy way to get from A-to-B.

See our guide to the best UK adult electric scooters. But in a world where everything is costing more and more, and every single one of us is on the hunt for 'value for money. So we've put together our five favourite cheap electric scooters, and bear in mind cheap doesn't mean bad, these scooters really offer the full electric scooter experience at an accessible price.

We do have to add an important note here that Electric scooters are not to be used on footpaths, cycle lanes or roads in the UK. It is the complete responsibility of the customer to ensure that you operate your escooter within all UK laws.

Riley RS1

The RIley RS1 is the complete electric scooter priced at an extremely reasonable £399.

Three speed modes, cruise control, comfortable ride, three brakes (fancy huh?) and up to 25km range, the RS1 could very well suit your daily journeys.

Not to mention the removable battery charges up in only two hours, so you'll be back out with the wind in your hair in no time.

All of that for less than the average cost of car insurance!

Windgoo M20

The Windgoo M20 offers more scooter for a smaller price tag – yep, we're not quite sure how they've managed to squeeze £500-worth of electric goodness into a £365 product.

It's got a slightly chunkier feel to the previous two scooters, so if you fancy a more stable ride, a larger footplate, rear suspension, and you maybe have a bumpy journey ahead, then this might be the perfect scooter for you.

Depending on the battery size, you could get up to 35km of range, and enjoy hilly terrain thanks to the 350W motor.

Decent One

Decent by name, a lot more than just decent by nature. This has been one of our favourite scooters on the Electroheads channel for a couple of years now, it was one of our first scooter reviews!

Needless to say the Decent One has stood the test of time, and still offers one of the most brilliant packages at a price tag £349.

Want to know what you're getting for your quids? The lightest scooter on this list, at only 13kg, 10" pneumatic tyres that smooth out thr road, 2-3 hour charging time, and up to up to 20km of range from a single charge.

Windgoo B9

The Windgoo B9 isn't like anything else on this list so far, and for one big reason: it's got a seat!

Money can't buy you happiness, but £419 will get you the most joyful electric scooter on the market.

Electric scooters with seats are gaining massive popularity around the world, and one ride on the B9 and it's easy to see why.
