Components and build quality:

The Cyclone 2026 is a powerful e-bike that comes with a 750W continuous motor that can peak at 1400W and pushes 85Nm of torque. Lacros claim that the 48V 20Ah battery provides up to 90miles of range which is more than enough for a commute to and from work and plenty for days out exploring.

Lacros представила новый электровелосипед Cyclone с двумя амортизаторами / Авто и транспорт / iXBT LiveThere are a multitude of components that make this bike super comfortable to ride not only for a long time but also on a mix of smooth and bumpy terrain. First up is the dual suspension which, of course, does a lot of the heavy lifting. Front and rear suspension means that any bumps or dips in the road are smoothed out for a smooth and comfortable riding experience. This is helped by the fat tyres which also help to absorb the effects of uneven terrain. Finally, the significance of a comfortable bike seat can’t be underestimated. When you are riding your e-bike for long periods you want something that is not going to leave you sore or achy after a day out so I really appreciated the seat on the Cyclone 2026.

Also contributing to comfort is the fact that the seat and position of the handlebars can be adjusted to suit your riding position. Personally I like to sit fairly upright on a bike that has a throttle and the Cyclone 2026 was able to accommodate this.

This e-bike also has a really impressive max capacity of up to 400lbs (181kg). This included rider weight and any extra cargo you may be carrying so this bike is definitely built for bigger riders and those who (like me) load their bike up with cargo.

Performance and handling:

The Cyclone 2026 is a lovely bike to ride. Not only do the components mentioned above (suspension, tyres and seat) make it super smooth and comfortable but the riding experience can be fine tuned so you can get the optimal power supply. A continuous 750W motor can sometimes generate a ghost pedaling sensation when riding but with the 7-speed Shimano gears this can be adjusted to make sure that you can feel some resistance as you pedal if you want a bit of a work out. Alternatively you can use the throttle, which is my preferred method of power output as I like to cruise!

This is a fairly heavy bike which does make it a little tricky to handle when the motor is off and you are not riding. For example, I wouldn’t want to carry it very far or up any stairs. But this isn’t an issue that you feel when riding because the bike’s compact design and center of gravity distribution makes pedaling quite effortless even when the motor is set to a low assistance level. The step-through frame does make this bike easy to handle when mounting and dismounting as you don’t have to balance it to kick your leg over the back.

The colourful display was large enough and bright enough to read even in bright sunshine and had all the stats that I wanted available and easy to read at a glance.

Safety and security:

The removable battery makes for easy charging as it can be brought inside to charge. This feature does also act as a deterrent to any thieves should you need to lock your bike up in public!

Front and rear hydraulic brakes are there to keep you safe and ensure that you can stop when you want to stop in a variety of weather conditions.

Integrated front and rear lights make sure that you can see and be seen on the road at all times. The rear brake light also means that other road users are aware of your intentions on the road.

Additionally, both the battery and the entire ebike are UL 2849 certified meaning that its entire electrical system has been independently tested and verified for safety.
