Performance

The Gotrax GX3 is a powerhouse of a scooter built for long-range and multi-terrain adventures. The dual 1000w motor power can get this scooter up to a top speed of 38mph.

The LCD display is clear and easy to read. It provides information on the scooter’s speed, mode, battery life, mileage and headlight control.

This powerhouse may take a little bit of getting used to if you have never ridden an e-scooter before or even if you've only ever ridden ones that have top speeds capped at either 15.5mph or 20mph. It is very responsive and very agile.

Making sure that you feel safe on the roads is an important consideration when looking to buy an e-scooter. Goxtrax has that covered with the lighting system on the GX3. Not only does this scooter come with an LED headlight making sure that you can see ahead and be seen by oncoming traffic, the GX3 also has LED turn signals. Turn signals keep all road users informed of your next move. This is easy to use and is controlled by the controller on the handlebars.

While Gotrax do claim that this e-scooter can have a range of up to 60 miles this, as ever, is dependent on terrain and incline during your ride. This is also the prediction for when you are using the scooter in speed level 1. If you wanted to ride in speed level 3 for the entirety of your journey you would be getting 19-38miles out of one battery charge.

Comfort and Handling

The dual suspension is a standout feature of this e-scooter. This, in combination with the huge 11”x3” tires, soaks up all of the bumps in the road so that you can enjoy a smooth ride. Scooters without suspension can sometimes be tough on your wrists during long journeys but that is not an issue with the GX3.

The wide foot plate is also textured to provide lots of grip meaning that you feel safe and secure on this scooter.

The power and comfort of this scooter does mean that this is not a lightweight piece of equipment. It weighs 94lbs which is very heavy, far too heavy for most to carry any further than a few feet. This would make this scooter tricky to carry up stairs if you lived on the second or third floor and did not have access to an elevator.

Brakes

With an e-scooter that can go as fast as this one you want to be certain that it’s going to stop when you want it to. The GX3 has both front and rear disc brakes ensuring that you can stop in any conditions.

Extras

The GX3 also comes in a range of colours! You can pick from olive green, titanium grey, or desert tan.
